Hi, and welcome - I’m so glad you’re here!
Hi, I’m Carissa. Whatever brings you here today, I’m so proud of you for being here. Seeking help is the first (and hardest) step to healing and change. As your therapist, I promise to hold space for you in times of struggle and cheer you on in times of victory. I believe that your experience is uniquely yours and I aim to understand by meeting you where you are when you step into my office.
I specialize in working with women navigating anxiety, depression, women’s health issues, pregnancy/postpartum, infertility, and other major life transitions. My goal is to always create a space where your experience can be honored without judgment or minimization to navigate these changes.
I earned my Master of Social Work degree from Auburn University and was among the first cohort to graduate from the program in 2019. Since graduating, I’ve worked with clients across the care continuum which has led me to developing a passion to bridge the gaps in mental health care accessibility, especially for women in the postpartum period as well as those navigating grief and loss.
My therapeutic style is strengths-based and collaborative. By working together, I hope to help you reconnect with your strengths and use them intentionally as you navigate difficult life transitions.
I’m so proud of you for taking the first step towards healing and would be honored to walk alongside of you for the remainder of that journey.
